All this talk this week about "Scrapbooking" and "Journaling" inspired me to go out and "promote" scrapbooking and keep on raising awareness about "Bringing Scrapbooking Back" by creating more layouts when I realized...
Not everyone "Scrapbooks" (gasp!)
BUT everyone has photos and memories (whew!) and after a lengthy conversation with friends just hours after the post on Wednesday, I was filled with inspiration and an idea to help those who might not necessarily "scrapbook"
You see, one of the many beauties of working with Teresa Collins lines is that it all coordinates in ways that you might not recognize and I have a really great example:
I created a Sports Journal Album from Bebe Boy, Welcome Home, Mr. & Mrs. and a past line, Sports Edition.
This project is for a friend that does not scrapbook, but I bet would IF she had something to write her memories in and adhere to photos to and that is what I created from new lines with pieces from past lines and regardless of theme, gender or layout size.
Here is what I used for this page:
Fold a 12" x 12" MM1202 Ledger paper in 1/2.
Trim the "Once Upon a Time.." tag from BB1008 Notes Paper and adhere to the upper left corner.
Trim the large clock from the WH 1309 Home Paper and cut 1/4 of it off. Adhere larger side of clock against right edge of page and smaller side of clock to the lower left edge (refer to photo for placement)
Adhere a SUPER CUTE LITTLE PLAYER photo to the Chipboard Element from found in the Welcome Home Chipboard Elements WH1310 and adhere to lower right portion of page.
This is another page created from the Mr. & Mrs. Ledger paper, but is a little more functional than you might be able to tell.
Fold the 12 x 12 in 1/2 but do not use any adhesive to glue it together in any way.
AFTER I bound the book together, I trimmed about 3 inches off the top of this page, added a thin strip of adhesive to the bottom and made it a big pocket page to hold journal cards, awards, additional photos, etc.
BUT that is not all...I adhered a photo of that same SUPER CUTE OLDER PLAYER to a slightly large piece of the WH Damask Paper WH1303 and then a slightly larger piece of the Sports Edition Paper.
I added adhesive ONLY to the left, lower and right side and adhered it to the ledger page and again, created another pocket to hold journal cards from Chic Bebe Boy BB1008 and the Sports line.
A few other scraps and pieces from past lines were adhered to pieces of the WH1303 and added to the page...
so, are you inspired to create for someone else to help "Create Scrapbook Awareness" and inspire others to create....
